HISTORY OF THE EARTH SCIENCES is a new refereed international journal devoted to the study of the history of developments of ideas in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, mining, geography, etc. The journal is guided by international cooperation in geosciences and aimed at the history of ideas as well as practice. Biographical articles about prominent geoscientists are included. The journal is well illustrated, mostly by original photographs. A special section includes archival data. Publications are mainly on the history of science in Russia but papers by foreign contributors are welcomed.

The journal is published both in hardcopy and online editions and does not impose page charges.
